Gillian's 2005 bio

Gillian G. Gaar

Hello again...for basic stats, check last year's bio, you can find it by clicking on "About Us" at the top of the page. Since last year's SIFF, I was laid off from SEIU, which leaves me more time to write, though I do miss that weekly paycheck! Krist Novoselic's book that I helped edit, "Of Grunge and Government," did come out, buy it, it's cheap! I also worked on the Nirvana box set which finally came out in the fall of '04, "With The Lights Out." If you're a Nirvana fan, you'll love it! I now write Beatles and Elvis news columns for Goldmine in addition to writing for Mojo, No Depression, ROCKRGRL, and The Seattle Times, among others. Oh yeah, and Tablet. My most recent accomplishment was interviewing the "Whipped Cream Lady" on the cover of Herb Alpert's Whipped Cream album (just released on CD). I am also in one of the SIFF movies this year, "The Gits Movie" (a documentary), and hopefully I'll be shown saying something semi-intelligent. PS, go to google.com, type in "Helen Loveridge" and see what the first item is that comes up!
