Greg's Bio

I've been writing film reviews since my stint at a college in Los Angeles. After moving up here, I explored my love of film by making short films, but I returned to writing about film in 2003 at the University of Washington Daily arts section called 'intermission.'

My first SIFF was 2001, and I saw 1 film! I was broke, and earned my ticket by ushering and putting up posters around town. Every year, I'd see a few more films at SIFF, until last year, when I joined the Secret Festival.

This year, I'm interning at SIFF as well, (programming from January until April, then working in promotions for the duration of the festival).

I'm enjoying my experience, learning a lot about the filmmaking experience AFTER the film is done from all of this...and now I get a chance to share my experiences so far.
