Ski Jumping Pairs - Road to Torino 2006

Ski Jumping Pairs – Road to Torino 2006 is a ‘film’ any potential viewer should be warned to avoid. The sport of tandem ski jumping is detailed, from its early days as a scientific theory, through years of development and competition, ending with it’s acceptance and inclusion in the 2006 Winter Olympics. The entire thing is a put-on of course, intended to poke fun at competitive sports and sports documentaries in general. This insultingly bad film is so mind-numbingly dull and crudely made with such a tremendous lack of creative intelligence it becomes a coma inducing experience. The actual competition footage is produced using rudimentary computer animation similar in quality to interactive video games from at least ten years ago. Why this film was accepted for presentation is unclear. There were a number of laughs from the audience throughout the preview screening, which only proves some folks will laugh at anything.
Thanks to Mike for posting this earlier. Ive had all day to think about this steaming pile of poo and here is my question to SIFF. Throwing out the fact that we are the largest festival in the country is great, but how much prestige does it carry if everything is juried in?

Oh man, I was looking forward to seeing that! On the other hand, I've had a somewhat stressful week, so perhaps the coma inducing experience will come in handy.
